Verona is a 16 hh liver chestnut CWHBA mare born May 3, 2002. She is by the KWPN Keur stallion Emilion out of the KWPN Keur mare Funny Face by Voltaire. Emilion belongs among the best showjumping progenitors in Dutch breeding. The 'keur' awarded stallion performed very well himself in international showjumping under Ulrich Kirchhoff. The Preferent stallion Voltaire jumped internationally at the highest levels under Jos Lansink and Emile Hendrik. That Voltaire passes on his jumping qualities time and time again to his progeny is confirmed every year in the World Breeding rankings where at present he has as many as twenty-nine offspring jumping internationally.
